Texture Design Co. and Be the Change Boutique are two new shops on King Street in downtown Charleston. I’ve already visited them a few times! The ladies that own them are so welcoming and fun and the items they have for sale are unique and make the best gifts.
Texture and BTCB share a space at 218B King Street. Go say hello!
Emily, a dear friend of mine, owns Texture Design Co., a fun little stationary store and Etsy shop. You’ll find gifts (for someone else or yourself) in her shop, many of them inspired by Charleston. I also love that Emily supports other local artists. One is Heartwood Creative Co’s – those are her Charleston signs.
Love Emily’s new pineapple fountain design! And the pillows are made by Suite 33, another local artist.
Emily partnered with Kate Waddell to create these fun, colorful note cards.
Be the Change Boutique is right next door and they have a wide variety of items which are always changing. What I love about this store is that everything you purchase has a story behind it. And your money goes towards a greater purpose!
For example, Purpose handcrafted jewelry is empowering survivors of modern-day slavery to build a bright future.
You can even purchase socks to give to others in need and employ the homeless, too!
These new bracelets are hand stamped with Charleston’s coordinates by the Shine Project, a company that employs inner city youth to provide scholarships for college.
Hand in Hand gives soap and clean water to those in need with each purchase.
Livin Life Man is a local artist and company. With every purchase a donation is made to MUSC Children’s Hospital.
They sell some fun mugs along with Ripple Coffee; grown by women roasters all over the world. Your purchase helps aid in these communities for education, clean water projects, infrastructure and health care programs.
Thanks for visiting! Have a great week 🙂
